Sit on the banks of the Paderauen, meet up for a beer in the PQ or take a bike ride to the Lippesee. At Salitos Beach, you’re sure to feel like you’re on vacation!

Did you know that all our students get free tickets for the stadium? SC Paderborn plays in the second Bundesliga – excitement guaranteed. And even if you’re not the biggest soccer fan – a visit to the stadium can be really fun, give it a try!
- 🎉 AStA Summer Festival
One of the oldest and largest student-organized festivals in Germany is waiting for you: The AStA Summer Festival. Every year in the first week of June the Paderborn campus will be transformed into an extraordinary festival site. In addition to student and regional bands, well-known headliners will also perform on the various stages. Stay tuned for our festival line-up next year. Soon it will finally start again: Paderborn’s “fifth season” begins every year on the last weekend in July. The nine-day funfair attracts around 1.5 million visitors to Paderborn every year. You can get your adrenaline kick at the funfair, fill up your kitchen cupboard at the Pottmarkt or spend an unforgettable evening in the Almhütte. Look forward to it!

Paderborn is a cycling city. Everything you need is just a stone's throw away. Whether it's the campus, city center or leisure facilities - you'll always reach your destination quickly here.
Affordable rents:
Studying in Paderborn is affordable! Here you can find cool rooms in shared flats and affordable apartments. According to the FAZ, Paderborn is one of the few cities in Germany where the Bafög is enough to study.
Sport and leisure:
Whether it's university sports, working out in the Ahorn Sports Park or a visit to the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum - boredom? Not a chance!
Culture and fun:
Libori is our highlight of the year! Celebrate with thousands of other people at one of the biggest folk festivals in Germany. We also give all students free tickets to SCP soccer matches and the theater.
Pure nature:
The Paderquell area in the middle of the city is perfect for relaxing and offers a beautiful backdrop. Here you can meet up to study in summer or end the evening in good company. Not far from the city you will also find the Paderauen - a wonderful place to sit on the banks and unwind.
