As a primary school teacher, you accompany children in their first four years of school. You lay the foundation for their school career and teach important basic skills in subjects such as German, mathematics and general studies.
As a teacher at a grammar school or comprehensive school, you often accompany students until they graduate from high school. You can pass on your enthusiasm for certain subjects such as languages, natural sciences or social sciences to them and help them prepare for university or vocational training.
At the vocational college, you will teach teenagers and young adults who are aiming for a vocational qualification. Here you combine general and vocational education and prepare students specifically for the job market.
In these types of schools, you teach students in grades 5 to 10 and have the opportunity to prepare young people for their further education or for their entry into working life.
In this area, you will support pupils with special educational needs. Your aim is to enable them to have a successful school career through targeted educational measures.
